Social Harmony Village Award for Kalingapatti, Tenkasi District
Vaiko Thanks the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu
Kalingapatti, located in Tenkasi District under Tiruvenkadam Taluk, is my native village panchayat. This village stands as a shining example of social equality.
All households in this village have been provided with door-to-door drinking water connections, and the surroundings are maintained in a very clean and hygienic manner. The Primary Health Centre here serves the people efficiently and has been selected as one of the best Primary Health Centres in Tamil Nadu.
As the people of this region are largely dependent on agriculture and livestock rearing, the Veterinary Hospital in this village is also rendering excellent services to the farming community.
People belonging to 18 different communities live together in Kalingapatti village. All of them share a single common cemetery based on equality, which continues to exist to this day. For this reason, Kalingapatti village has received the Tamil Nadu Government’s Equality Cemetery Award twice.
It is a matter of pride that there has not been even a minor dispute or any caste or religious conflict in the past 500 years.
I have consistently emphasized that people in Kalingapatti may belong to any political party of their choice, but political or caste-based conflicts should never arise in our village.
In recognition of these outstanding features, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru M. K. Stalin, has conferred the “Social Harmony Village Award – 2025” on Kalingapatti Panchayat, Tenkasi District, through the Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department.
I extend my heartfelt congratulations and sincere gratitude to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Thiru Thalapathy M. K. Stalin.
I also convey my congratulations and appreciation to Kalingapatti Panchayat President Thiru Manimozhi Chandru, the Panchayat Secretary, Ward Members, and the Union Councillor, who have all been working with great dedication and excellence in earning this prestigious award.
