MDMK founder Vaiko flagged off the Equality March in Tiruchy, aimed at promoting equality and social harmony. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated the march by waving the party flag.
Also present on the occasion were Union of India Muslim League leader Kader Mohideen, Dravida Kazhagam general secretary K. Veeramani, Makkal Needhi Maiam general secretary A. Arumugam, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi leader Thol. Thirumavalavan, CPI leader R. Mutharasan, and several other leaders and representatives from various political parties and organisations.
