MDMK General Secretary Vaiko has alleged that Sanatana forces are conspiring to change Tamil Nadu because they are unable to alter the State’s core Tamil humanistic values.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Equality March in Tiruchy, Vaiko said Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has emerged as a role model for all States from Kanyakumari to the Himalayas. He said the Chief Minister has been functioning in a manner that fulfils the expectations of crores of Tamil people.
Vaiko stated that principles such as equality, social justice, and secularism are deeply rooted in Tamil Nadu. Forces that are unable to tolerate this are attempting to change the State. To achieve this, they are politicising religion and trying to divide people.
He said that people in Tamil Nadu do not live divided on the basis of caste or religion and that they continue to live with equality and brotherhood. He alleged that Sanatana forces are working with a calculated plan to destroy this social harmony.
In this context, the Equality March assumes great importance, he said, adding that the march would help create awareness among the people about equality, social justice, and communal harmony.
Vaiko asserted that the people of Tamil Nadu would never accept division in the name of religion. He said the 2026 Assembly election would be a battle for equality and that Tamil Nadu would continue to stand as a land of equality.
