Ahead of the launch event of the Samathuva Nadai Payanam (Equality Foot March) to be led by MDMK General Secretary Vaiko in Tiruchirappalli on January 2, Trichy MP Durai Vaiko personally inspected the arrangements, including the event stage and other preparations, yesterday.

Ahead of the launch event of the Samathuva Nadai Payanam (Equality Foot March) to be led by MDMK General Secretary Vaiko in Tiruchirappalli on January 2, Trichy MP Durai Vaiko personally inspected the arrangements, including the event stage and other preparations, yesterday.

MDMK General Secretary Vaiko is set to begin the Samathuva Nadai Payanam tomorrow (January 2) at around 10:00 a.m. from the Trichy Uzhavar Sandhai. The foot march will commence in Tiruchirappalli on January 2 and conclude in Madurai on January 12. The objective of this march is to create awareness against drugs and alcohol, and to promote the vision of building a society free from caste-based atrocities.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will attend the inaugural ceremony and flag off the foot march. Indian Union Muslim League leader K.M. Kader Mohideen will deliver the felicitation address. Tamil Nadu Congress Committee President Selvaperunthagai, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi leader Thol. Thirumavalavan, along with leaders of DMK alliance parties, will also participate in the event.

More than 300 people are expected to take part in the foot march. During the inspection, Trichy district MDMK Secretary Vellamandi Somu, Manavai Tamil Manikkam, Dr. Rokaiah, and other Trichy district MDMK functionaries were present.
