On the occasion of the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Veerapandiya Kattabomman on January 3, Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) General Secretary Vaiko and Principal Secretary Durai Vaiko, Member of Parliament from Tiruchy, paid floral tributes by garlanding his statue.
The tribute was paid at Panjappur in Tiruchy, prior to the commencement of the march held today.
MDMK Treasurer M. Senthilathiban, Deputy General Secretaries T.M.U. Rajendran, Dr. Rohaiya, S. Jeevan, Manavai Tamil Manickam, D.T.C. Cheran, P.T. Asaithambi, A. Bhaskar Sethupathi, Bala Sasikumar, T. Sumesh, along with several other party functionaries, were present on the occasion.
