“Vaiko Says He Does Not Seek a Share in Power”
Madurai: MDMK General Secretary Vaiko, who is undertaking a padayatra advocating a drug-free Tamil Nadu, addressed the media yesterday at Karungalakudi in Madurai district.
“In Tamil Nadu, which has been a land of peace, violent Hindutva forces are attempting to create divisions. Tamil Nadu is a Dravidian fort built and safeguarded by the sweat and blood of leaders like Anna and Karunanidhi.
On behalf of the MDMK, we have never, even by mistake, spoken a single word about seeking a share in power or authority. We have not made such a demand until today, and we will not make it in the future either,” he said.
