MDMK General Secretary Vaiko’s Samathuva Nadai Payanam (Equality Foot March) is set to take place today in Tiruchirappalli. The event will be inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, who is travelling from Chennai to Tiruchirappalli by air for the occasion.
Vaiko will undertake the Equality Foot March from today until January 12. The inaugural function of the march will be held at 9:30 a.m. at the Corporation Grounds near the Anna Nagar Uzhavar Sandhai in Tennur, Tiruchirappalli. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will flag off the march and address the gathering.
To participate in the event, the Chief Minister will arrive in Tiruchirappalli by flight from Chennai at 9:10 a.m. today. From the Tiruchirappalli airport, he will travel by car to the venue at the Anna Nagar Uzhavar Sandhai grounds in Tennur.
It is also reported that Chief Minister Stalin will flag off the foot march and walk a short distance along with Vaiko. He will later depart for Chennai by flight.
