The Equality March led by MDMK General Secretary Vaiko commenced with great enthusiasm in Tiruchy today.
The march was formally flagged off by the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thalapathy M.K. Stalin, who presented the march flag on Friday, 02.01.2026, in Tiruchy.
Indian Union Muslim League President Professor Kader Mohideen,
Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi President Thol. Thirumavalavan, MP,
Makkal Needhi Maiam General Secretary Arunachalam, and
Dravida Kazhagam General Secretary Durai Chandrasekar
highlighted the significance of the Equality March and conveyed their greetings.
The programme was presided over by Honourable Minister K.N. Nehru, while Honourable Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi was present as a special invitee.
MDMK Principal Secretary Durai Vaiko, MP, delivered the welcome address.
Honourable Ministers Raghupathi and Meyyanathan, Tiruchy Corporation Mayor Anbalagan, along with district secretaries, Members of Parliament, Members of the Legislative Assembly, and senior leaders of the DMK, MDMK, and alliance parties, participated and made the event a grand success.
